FAQs

Are NPR MUSIC SPECIAL EDITION & MUSIC PRO earplugs different?

The NPR MUSIC SPECIAL EDITION and MUSIC PRO earplugs are identical in every way aside from the special edition custom branded carrying case. Both include our triple patented Contour earplugs™ and PRO filter technology, providing the same premium sound clarity and protection.

What makes EARPEACE the best concert ear plugs for live music?

EARPEACE earplugs are industry-trusted and have been protecting peoples hearing at music events for over 15 years. Our filter technology delivers mastered attenuation, reducing volume evenly while preserving sound clarity. Made from soft, hypoallergenic silicone and designed for all-day comfort, EARPEACE lets you enjoy the full music experience—safely and distortion-free.

How do music earplugs protect your hearing at loud events?

High-fidelity filters reduce harmful volume while maintaining the integrity of instruments and vocals. At concerts often exceeding 100 dB, they help prevent noise-induced hearing loss (e.g. tinnitus) and offer much safer listening levels.

Will these earplugs cause muffled sound or affect music quality?

Nope! Unlike foam earplugs that just block sound, EARPEACE filters allow crisp, clear tones—like turning down master volume. Audience chatter gets quieter while the music and detail stay vibrant.

Are they comfortable for hours-long wear?

Absolutely. Constructed from silicone, EARPEACE earplugs are soft, hypoallergenic, and designed for secure comfort. Our customers comment wearing them at festivals, concerts, and rehearsals all night with zero ear fatigue.

Great First Pair

These are my first pair of quality earplugs. I'm very satisfied on the fit and amount of noise suppression, as well as the quality of sound that is audible being offered by these earplugs.
I appreciate the extra earplug and filter.
If I needed more pairs, I would absolutely buy again.

The reviews are true, great earplugs without loseing quality experience

I wanted a new pair of high end ear plugs to take with me while my band was on tour, I was concerned at my age about hearing loss, but hate going to concerns only to hear muffled noise or have to take them out to talk to others. I did my research and it was a Forbes article that had these rated as one of the best. It was also a deal for me that the NPR music versions supported public radio. I can attest that I was able to wear these ear plugs during rehearsal and through out each show stop and enjoyed the quality of music with the assurance I was not blowing out my hearing, it was a good sign that I came home with no ringing in my ears. My only issue is as I've read that the plugs can get stuck in the bottom of the tube as I experienced, it took a while to get it out but just had to be more mindful about how I was storing them in their case.
