Care & Use Instructions

Wipe the earplugs off with a damp cloth each time you wear them. If they become particularly dirty you can wash them in warm soapy water, however remove the attenuation filter before submerging the earplug in water. Reinsert the filter only after the earplug has dried completely.

Why 3 Earplugs?

EARPEACE always includes an extra earplug and filter just in case you lose or drop one, then you still have a set.

Does MUSIC PRO include various filter reduction levels?

Each MUSIC PRO includes 1 PRO filter set of your choice. Select either 16dB, 20dB or 24dB. Based on your selection, your MUSIC PRO will include 3 total PRO filters of that reduction level.

What is the difference between MUSIC & MUSIC PRO?

There are two major differences between MUSIC & MUSIC PRO.  

The first difference is the earplugs. MUSIC features our original double coned earplugs for a comfortable, natural fit. While, MUSIC PRO earplugs feature our patented contour design engineered to mold to the shape of your ear canal, creating a complete seal for a near custom fit. 

The second difference is the filters. MUSIC includes three sets of filters. The 17dB & 20dB filters are precisely machined to allow an unobstructed sound into the ear for a noise reducing yet full spectrum sound experience. The 26dB filter set is a full block filter for max reduction. 

The MUSIC PRO filters, on the other hand, feature multi-layered technology. These layers grab the sound signature and then replicate it at a lower volume, so you hear the full spectrum of crisp, clear sound at a safe volume. When selecting PRO you will have the option to choose between various filter reductions for a mastered attenuated experience.

Metallica sounded great

This was for Metallica's show at Lane Stadium at Virginia Tech.

I bought protection for myself (prior hearing loss) and two adult daughters (no hearing loss). To be safe, I ordered a variety of plug sizes and filter strengths from 16dB to 27dB.

One daughter and I used 20dB filters, the other daughter used 16dB filters, but we each took a pair of stronger filters in case we felt the need. The filters we chose originally were fine, and the plug fits were fine as well after we had all experimented with different sizes.

My only complaint is that the color coding of the filters that is shown in the included documentation was confused and confusing. The printed colors did not seem to always match the filters themselves, and it seemed that the 20dB filters were produced with two different colors. I would have appreciated having the filter strengths shown on the filters themselves.

Cuts the Noise

I wore these for the first time during the 2 Phish shows at Bill Graham Civic Auditorium last week. The sound clarity of the instruments almost seemed enhanced by the EARPEACE plugs. A couple of times during the show I pulled one out and was shocked at the extra noise I heard with it removed. I'm definitely glad I bought a pair.
