The legendary Hammersmith Apollo in London is set to receive a multi-million pound renovation.
The interior will be completely altered to accommodate new seating, better ventilation (thank god) and the previously hidden marble staircases concealed under the extended stage, will be exposed and restored to their former glory. The venue is also being restored to it’s original colours on the exterior, green, mauve and black.
Opening in 1932 and hosting shows from artists such as Bob Marley, The Beatles and David Bowie. It’s easy to see why this renovation would aim to reflect the venue’s rich heritage.
It is set to re-open in September.
